The Generic Man for Comme des Garcons SHIRT 2013 Spring/Summer Collection

 

For Spring/Summer 2013, The Generic Man revives its much-lauded, fashion-forward collaboration with Comme des Garcons SHIRT. The collection merges “the carefree and fun with the starkly minimalist and utilitarian,” consisting of three silhouettes that tell the story of spring’s beginning, maturation and end. In re-imagined versions of Generic’s Mohawk, Wellington and Wing Tip models, the shoes are colored in hues that move from neutral to Easter egg shades of bubblegum pink, royal yellow and teal, pairing well with any seasonal wardrobe. The Mohawk — a mid-top which features three color-blocked sections and moccasin details — marks the beginning of spring, while the Wellington, with its cartoony, whimsical patterns on canvas, embodies the middle of the season. Rounding out the collection, meanwhile, is the Wing Tip, another sneaker-based silhouette in bright pastel hues that bridges the transition into the sunny days of summer.
